Dr. Alba Yerro-Colom receives NSF CAREER award

Dr. Alba Yerro Colom, an ARC principal investigator at Virginia Tech, received a 2024 NSF CAREER award to fund research in “CAREER: Transformative Understanding of Rainfall-Triggered Landslides with Vegetation Effects from a Climate Change Perspective: Initiation and Consequences”.

Together with Dr. Corina Sandu, their ARC project is “Tire–mud Interaction Modeled Using Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics and Finite Element”.
