Ali Beheshti

Dr. Ali Beheshti is currently an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and director of Tribology and Surface Mechanics (TSM) lab at George Mason University [10]. His research focuses on tribology, contact and interfacial mechanics, as well as failure analysis through both simulations and experiments. He also works on advanced manufacturing and surface engineering techniques for contact and surface related failures in harsh environments. In addition, his research involves additively manufactured metallic alloys and polymers for a wide range of applications including energy, defense and transportation industries. His projects have been funded by NSF, DoE and DoD/ONR. He has authored and coauthored more than 40 peer-reviewed papers in reputable tribology and mechanical engineering journals.
