Prof. Zoran Filipi named new Chair of Clemson's Automotive Engineering Dept.
[Clemson Newstand, Jan 7. 2015] Prof. Zoran Filipi has been named the new department chair of Automotive Engineering and executive director of the Carroll A. Campbell Graduate Engineering Center at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR). He takes over for Prof. Imtiaz Haque, founding chair of the department, who is retiring.
He is an ARC founding member, served as Assistant Director (2002-2009) and then Deputy Director (2009-2011) of the ARC when he was at the University of Michiga. He contributed tremendously not only to Thrust Area 4 but has also been the true glue for many cross-disciplinary collaborations between the thrust areas. Prof. Filipi continues to participate in ARC research at Clemson University which is an ARC partner school.
