| Crewman's
Associate for Path Control (CAPC)

Summary
The
Crewman's Associate for Path Control (CAPC) v.4.2 simulation tool is
an integrated set of modules to achieve sophisticated and flexible simulations
of road departure prevention systems.
Simulation may be done in three modes: desktop driving simulator mode;
numerical simulation mode; and post-processing mode (to compare vehicle
testing with dynamic simulations).
System Requirements
The system
will run on Apple Macintosh computers with floating point units (FPU).
About 5MB RAM is needed to run the software; about 1.2MB hard disk space
is required to store the software, input files, and the user manual.
See the user manual for more system recommendations and details.
Downloading
Simulation Tool
The
files are downloaded in the compressed "BinHex" (or .hqx) format. Use
StuffIt Expander
or BinHex to uncompress.
For a PowerPC Macintosh, download the PPC
version.
For an older "pre-PowerPC" Macintosh using a Motorola 68030 or 68040
processor with FPU, download the 68K
version.
Downloading
Manual and Information on Plotting
The
CAPC v.4.2 User Manual is in
Mac Microsoft Word 5.1a format, and will be downloaded on your computer
either in that format or in a compressed version of that format.
See the manual section "About this Manual" to learn about analyzing
simulation data using plotting or spreadsheet software from UMTRI. Download
the EP plotting package, manual and sample file here.
